PSD2

Improve consumer protection, promote competition and innovation in the sector and enhance the security of the payments services.

SCA

Strong customer authentication (SCA) is a requirement of PSD2. The requirement ensures that electronic payments are performed with multi-factor authentication, to increase the security of electronic payments.

An authentication based on the use of two or more elements categorised as knowledge (something only the user knows), possession (something only the user possesses) and inherence (something the user is) that are independent, in that the breach of one does not compromise the reliability of the others, and is designed in such a way as to protect the confidentiality of the authentication data.

How it works in iPayLinks

During the process of transaction or any other scenarios requiring SCA, iPayLinks will ask you to enter a one-time passcode, which is sent by SMS to the mobile phone you have associated with your account.
